What makes the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up different than other skincare devices?

The DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up device stands out for its unique combination of Radiofrequency (RF), Red Light Therapy, and Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) technologies, offering a comprehensive approach to skin tightening and rejuvenation. Experience a multifunctional approach to preserving your youth.

Is the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up safe to use?

Yes, the Red Velvet Glow-Up device is safe to use and the technology behind it is FDA cleared. The devices have been tested on users with different skin types. We do not recommend using our products if you have severe skin conditions that need to be medically treated and suggest that you consult with a dermatologist before using if you are taking medication for your skin.

What is Rf?

Radiofrequency (Rf): Radiofrequency skin tightening is an aesthetic technique that uses low radio frequency energy to heat skin with the purpose of stimulating cutaneous collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid production in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and loose skin.

What is Red Light Therapy?

Red Light Therapy: Red light therapy uses low-power red light to activate the cell’s energy generators (mitochondria). Most of the energy made by the mitochondria is housed in a molecule called adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which helps your body store and use energy. This helps with cell regeneration and has various anti-aging properties.

What is EMS?

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS): Electrical Muscle Stimulation aka EMS is a highly effective method for toning, contouring, and firming the skin. This treatment involves the use of microcurrents to stimulate the muscles, resulting in increased facial muscle strength, a tighter appearance, and a snatched jawline.

How often can I use the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up?

We recommend using the Red Velvet Glow-Up no more than 3-4 times a week so you can allow collagen to build under the skin.

How soon do I get to see results?

If you use your Red Velvet Glow-Up properly and consistently, you can see noticeable results in as little as 5 days.

How long do these results last?

Results typically last up to two weeks, however, we recommend continuously using the Red Velvet Glow-Up 3-4 times a week to see even better improvements over time.

Will I damage my skin if I use the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up?

Overusing the device (ie: daily) and not allowing your skin to heal and build collagen can result in your skin becoming more sensitive and prone to redness/blemishes. Allow time in between each session, such as every other day, to let your skin breathe. Please note that you can still do your regular skincare routine without the device on off days.

When is the best time to use the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up?

We recommend using your Red Velvet Glow-Up during your nighttime skincare routine after cleansing and applying toner to your face. You can either use your own serum or our hypoallergenic DermaDonut® DermaIcing Facial Gel with the device. Afterwards, you can apply your eye cream and night cream.

Do I need to use a gel or serum with the device?

Yes, the Red Velvet Glow-Up will not work without a gel or serum solution. The solution will absorb into your skin and your skin will soak in all of the benefits, but the device will not be able to glide well on your face without the gel or serum.

Can I use my own serum or gel with the device?

Yes, as long as you are not allergic to the serum or gel. We created the DermaDonut® DermaIcing Facial Gel to ensure that all of our awesome customers can use it with our devices as well!

What if I have sensitive skin?

While our products are designed with skin safety in mind and incorporate advanced technologies, we suggest conducting a patch test on a small area of skin before using the device on the face. Additionally, it's advisable to start with the lowest intensity setting and gradually increase as needed. If you experience any discomfort or irritation, discontinue use and consult a skincare professional. Remember, your comfort and skin health are our top priorities!

Can I use the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up if I've had Botox or fillers?

You may use your Red Velvet Glow-Up device 30 days after your Botox treatments and we heavily advise that you wait at least 6 months to use the device after your last facial filler appointment. The Red Velvet Glow-Up can cause your facial fillers to shift if you use it while the filler is newly applied. If you have lip fillers, exercise caution around the jawline and chin areas. We recommend using the device at the lowest setting around those areas if you've gotten lip fillers. You can apply the device NEAR areas injected with Botox and fillers - just do NOT apply it ON TOP OF the injected areas.

What do I do if I don't see any results after 30 days?

Our dedicated customer service team is available to address any questions or concerns you may have. Feel free to reach out to us via email at hello@dermadonut.com.

Are there replacement tips required for the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up?

There are 4 different types of microdermabrasion tips for the Red Velvet Glow-Up: the round tip, microcrystalline tip, narrow tip, and small tip. These tips are interchangeable and reusable. All you'll need to do is rinse them with warm water and alcohol solution or soap after each use.

Is it safe to apply makeup right after using my DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up?

Absolutely! Feel free to apply your makeup and continue with your day as usual if you decide to use the device during the day. However, if you have sensitive skin, we recommend you using the device at night before bed.

How do I charge my device?

Your Red Velvet Glow-Up can be charged with the USB cable that comes in your donut box, which you can attach to the back of the device or back of the device stand in the small circular hole. Either way works!

Is it safe to incorporate my current skincare products with the device?

Absolutely! However, exercise caution with products like AHA, BHA, Benzoyl Peroxide, and Retin-A, as they may lead to irritation or skin dehydration. We strongly recommend using the DermaDonut® DermaIcing Facial Gel in conjunction with the device. Formulated specifically for this purpose, it enhances the effectiveness of your treatment for outstanding results. You may proceed with the rest of your skincare routine thereafter.

Is the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up waterproof?

The Red Velvet Glow-Up is NOT waterproof - please do not submerge it in water or get the device too wet as the device can malfunction and can be harmful for use afterwards.

How do I clean the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up?

Your DermaDonut® box comes with a cleaning spoolie that you can use for the microdermabrasion tips. However, the best way to clean the device is to use a hint of isopropyl alcohol mixed with warm water. Pour a small amount of the isopropyl alcohol/warm water solution onto a disposable cotton round or clean towel. Then, wipe the device all around and ensure to dry out the device before charging.

Is it safe for me to use the device if I have a metal allergy?

If you have a metal allergy, please perform a patch test on a small area of skin (like your forearm) before using the device on your face. Consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice based on your specific allergy and skin sensitivity. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities.

Does it hurt when using the DermaDonut® Red Velvet Glow-Up?

The Red Velvet Glow-Up has Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) technology which will move your facial muscles for contouring and skin tightening purposes. While you may feel a slight tingle, it is not intended to be painful. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend using the lowest setting to accommodate your tolerance.
